by Gretchen Rubin

Without doubt, this is one of the best books there ever was invented about HAPPINESS! Just the title has me smiling. Gretchen is just a wonderful human – I’ve never met her, but I feel like we were sisters in another life! She spends a year hunting out all the research and evidence and literature there is on what it is to be happy. Which appeals to those who love to research, Hermione Granger club anyone? I’ll let her tell you what she finds and the journey it takes her on, but I can tell you, you’ll learn a lot. It’s fascinating and honest and enlightening! I held a whole new respect for this concept of happiness after reading this book, alleviating so much pressure from ‘how to be happy’ and more emphasis on ‘how to add happy moments and forgive the less happy ones’.

Happiness is made up so many theories and research and chemical and life circumstances. There’s no recipe for all but understanding how to find your own is enough.

To ‘protect the joyous’. Those people around you that radiate light and love need fierce protection from the fact that it is simply ‘easier to be hard’. Happiness takes work and that is a good thing.
